When Should MR Routed Suppliers schedule an LTL Shipment in LMS? • Trailer cubes out, and there are no recovery options (notified by routing team) and material can’t wait to be picked up on next planned route.
• Extremely low requirements (routing team will notify to LTL in this case)
• Live increases that can’t wait for next scheduled milk run pickup. *Always work with the Material Planner to make sure need date will be met.
How to schedule an LTL shipment? (USA suppliers only)
This guide is only for production LTL freight being entered in LMS. LMS is NOT for aftermarket freight.
This process is only for LTL freight in LMS. LTL shipments must be under 20’ of trailer space and between 151 to 19,000 lbs.
Do not change anything in your ASN, OS&D, and LTL Intercept processes. They will remain the same.
